Since 2004 Sheila has been helping clients buy and sell residential, commercial and investment properties in Durham Region (Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Uxbridge & Port Perry). An award winning agent with many industry accolades, including RE/MAX’s annual Platinum Award & Life Time Achievement Hall of Fame Award, Sheila says “there is no greater reward than knowing that I negotiated a great price & helped my buyer or seller achieve their financial goals.”
Buying & selling a house is usually an emotional process, clients look to me to be kept on track when emotions can sometimes cloud logic. I put myself in their shoes to be focused on the task at hand, but as a realtor I always make sure I know they are making a sound investment, buying in the right neighbourhood at the right price. I never promote a property that I think is going to be a tough sell in the future. After all, I trust that will someday be my job again.”
Building clients’ trust is an honour and a privilege and comes from years of hard work, a track record of proven success, continual educational improvements & commitment to the real estate industry as a profession, community involvement and building a network of professionals, whether that’s other realtors or contractors that my clients can count on. “This is a really tough business, with large marketing overheads, but at the end of the day my clients’ goals are met because of the marketing & service investments I use in my business and the network of professionals I have built around me.”
Sheila is originally from Peterborough. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University (1998). Loving the vibrancy of Toronto she lived in many different “416” locations including, Church and Carlton, Yonge and Eglinton, Danforth & The Beach and held different jobs in both “entrepreneurial” and “corporate” companies working in advertising, marketing, fine restaurant feasibility and development, a luxury hotel chain, event planning and corporate incentives Sheila has travelled extensively throughout Canada, the USA, the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, South Africa, and Ireland.
I’m fortunate to have experienced Durham Region as a great place to work, live & raise a family. I have had the pleasure of living in a quiet lakeside, Cape Cod style community 30 minutes East of Toronto in Ajax for 15 years & have most recently moved 25 minutes north, from the lake to the forest, landing in the Trail Capital of Canada – Uxbridge! It’s a quieter, peaceful part of Durham located on the rolling hills of the Oak Ridges Moraine, where we are able to be close to my family’s recreational passions of mountain biking, hiking, snow-shoeing/skiing & horse back riding.
Please give me the opportunity to earn your business – I’ll give you the professionalism, knowledge and importance that you deserve during your real estate experience.
